There are two main varietals of cannabis which determine the affect cannabis will have on the consumer. Sativas are known to give a “head high” and are popular for daytime use or social situations. Indicas are known to give a “body high” and are typically preferred for mental/physical relaxation. Simply stated, sativa leaning strains are great for daytime use and creative purposes, indica leaning strains will provide a relaxing high, great for pain relief or nighttime use. Very few strains are truly 100 indica or sativa at this time.
Hybrids of indicas and sativas blend the benefits of both classifications and can be either Indica-Dominant, Sativa-Dominant or a pure 50/50 hybrid.
As Wiz Khalifa says, “All Kush isn’t Kush.” Different strains have different effects, which is why you should experiment with various strains to see what you like the best.
